THE LAWYERS

CYNTHIA K. L. LE POER TRENCH, Senior Partner.
Hong Kong-born Chinese. Having spent her formative years in Hong Kong, she completed her degree at the University of Hong Kong, and was admitted and qualified as a Solicitor in Hong Kong in 1986. She arrived in Dubai in 1989. Her first Language is English but she also speaks Cantonese and French. Cynthia has spoken at several Seminars, including the Brand Protection Forum for the Automotive Group, International Women's Group and workshops at Sheikh Moh'd Establishment for Young Entrepreneurs ("SME"). In 2004, she was awarded Best Service Provider by H.H. Sheikh Moh'd bin Rashid Al Maktoum on behalf of SME.

CHARMAINE KHAN, Associate 
Having obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours from University of London, Charmaine went on to complete the Bar Course at the Inns of Court School of Law in London. She was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn in 2003. She returned to Dubai where she gained experience by working at various firms in Dubai. Charmaine works in the Corporate Department and also advises on Intellectual Property, Probate and Agency matters. 

VICKY SFEIR, Associate
Vicky graduated in Law from the Filiere Fancophone de Droit in Beirut in 2004. She completed her post graduate diploma in Aix en Provence in Corporate and Trust Law and in Paris II Assas in ADR and Arbitration Law and was admitted in the Beirut Bar in 2006. After moving to Dubai, Vicky decided to join Trench & Associates to work in the Corporate Department and to share her knowledge of European and International Law as well as her business experience in investment banking. Vicky speaks Arabic, French and English.

CÈCILE BLESKINE, Associate
Having studied public and private law at the University of Strasbourg, France, Cécile subsequently obtained an LLM from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, where she specialised in International and European Law. Thereafter, she moved to London in 2000 where she developed her legal career with reputable law firms. Cécile joined Trench & Associates upon moving to Dubai, and works in the Litigation Department. Cécile is fluent in English and French, and is currently learning Arabic.

STEPHANIE SELIER, Associate
Stephanie graduated in law (LLB) and subsequently obtained her Masters Degree in Labour Law (LLMA) from the North West University , Potchefstroom , South Africa in 2005. She worked at a Johannesburg Law Firm specializing in commercial law for 3 years and is a registered member of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces . Stephanie is a recent addition to the property department and is fluent in Afrikaans and English.

MICHELLE RUSSELL, Associate
Michelle is an Australian qualified lawyer with 4 years commercial experience working at large commercial and international law firms in Queensland, Australia. Michelle earned her law degree LLB (Hons) and BA (Hons) Film & Media (Journalism major) from Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. Her areas of practice include commercial law, franchising, branding, defamation law, patent, copyright and trade mark law, including commercial and intellectual property plaintiff and defendant litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

THE ARABIC DEPARTMENT

SHIREEN AHMED MANSI, Government Liaison Officer.
Having spent most of her life in the UAE, she has excellent knowledge of procedures in all Government Departments, and twinned with her previous experience as a public relations officer in the insurance and tourism sectors, she makes an excellent Government liaison officer at Trench & Associates.

MOSSAD NADA, In-house Translator
Born and raised in Egypt. Mossad graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature, Tanta University, Egypt. He worked as a translator in Egypt and also in Saudi Arabia before coming to Dubai in 2003. In Dubai his experience increased dramatically after gaining in-depth knowledge from translating magazine articles for a company established in DMC and then working an Advocate Firm.
