On 27 April 2023, Cynthia Trench of Trench & Associates DMCC, had the privilege of attending the International Family Conference in Abu Dhabi, which was arranged by Expatriate Law.

Cynthia had the privilege of being a speaker on a Panel of Speakers that was invited to speak about Asset Protection. The panel was expertly headed by Mr Yann Mzarek, a seasoned professional with years of experience in the field. Along with Cynthia, the panel included Jonathan Davidson and Dipali Maldonado, both of whom are experts in their respective fields.

During the conference, the panel discussed various aspects of Asset Protection, including the use of DIFC Foundations, which is a legal structure commonly used by families in the region. The panel also discussed other traditional and new methods of Asset Protection, giving attendees a well-rounded view of the subject.

The conference was attended by a diverse group of experts from all over the world, including the United Kingdom, South Africa, France, Singapore, Pakistan, Scotland, and, of course, the United Arab Emirates. The attendees were able to learn from the panel’s insights and experiences and engage in discussions that explored the nuances of Asset Protection in various jurisdictions.

Overall, the conference was a resounding success, providing attendees with valuable knowledge and insights about Asset Protection, its importance, and its various methods. Cynthia felt honored to have been part of such a distinguished panel and was grateful for the opportunity to share her expertise with the attendees.
